We will be having a ladies Cursillo info night at Christine Thomann’s home at 4290 Fireside Dr. Clarence. It is scheduled for June 17th at 6:30pm. Ladies only ice cream social. Anyone with a prospective candidate is invited to come enjoy a great time with wonderful women and wonderful ice cream Sundaes.

What is a CDC or Cursillo de Cursillos?

It is a Cursillo weekend designed for Cursillistas developed by Eduardo Bonnin. The Cursillo de Cursillos helps the Cursillo leaders delve into all spiritual and technical elements of our Movement in light of its charism. A total of 15 Rollos and 5 Meditations are presented. This workshop starts on Thursday evening and concludes on Sunday afternoon, but unlike the regular Three-Day Weekend, it is more relaxing with much free time for rest, for reflection, for personal contact, for spiritual direction, and for individual visits to the Blessed Sacrament. Everyone feels relaxed with plenty of rest and friendship throughout the three days. The Workshop concludes with the Celebration of the Eucharist and Clausura.

Our Cursillo Movement’s Leader’s Manual clearly elaborates on the evolution of the Cursillo Movement, which did not begin by accident. It evolved after a series of events. It will become quite evident that the Cursillo Movement did not just happen – God willed it to be. This workshop will help Cursillo leaders to gain a knowledge of the foundational charism, namely the mentality, the essence, the methodology, the strategy and the purpose of our Cursillo Movement.

This experience will benefit all Cursillistas including those who just made their weekend up to those who have served Cursillo for many years. Cursillistas must know their Movement well to love and serve it faithfully and efficiently. Cef Aguillon, National Cursillo English Coordinator, will serve as Rector and Fr. Mark Seiker, National Cursillo Spiritual Advisor, will spiritually guide the weekend.
